EMOTIONAL PAINTING WORKSHOP
We will practice painting in total creative freedom, with our hands and our gestures, and by squeezing, mixing and spreading the colors we experience their materiality.
The workshop is aimed at all those who wish to get involved and experience the pictorial practice. No specific skills are needed: in the meetings they will be shown with demonstrationpractical tions of some pictorial techniques: watercolor, gouache, acrylic, oil, in order to allow even those approaching painting for the first time to acquire a minimum basis for individual expression.

TEACHER
Chiara Pasqualotto graduated in Film History and Criticism in Padua in 2000, with a thesis on color in Rohmer's cinema. You have been dealing with illustration and illustrated books for about fifteen years. You have attended courses and illustration workshops with Arcadio Lobato, Svetlan Junaković, Maurizio Quarello, Carll Cneut, at the International School of Illustration in Sarmede and at Ars in Fabula in Macerata.
His first picture book is called 'Mine, all mine!' and was released in the UK in 2009 by Boxer Books. She has also published with Oxford University Press and Giunti.
Parallel to the illustration he carries out a personal artistic research work on drawing and painting. After attending figure lessons at the Prague Academy, he then experimented with a different approach to drawing with other modalities, such as in an instinctual drawing course by Riccardo Mannelli. He loves to draw from life, with models and in plein air, and paints with various pictorial techniques, preferring oil and gouache (his favorite technique for illustration).
Her interest in colors from a theoretical point of view led her to link the theories of color to pictorial practice, directly experiencing its effects.
